The rebels. The troublemakers. The ones who see things differently. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

here’s to the crazy one…
A few weeks ago, we lost the iconoclastic Steve Jobs, a polymath American in the mould of Howard Hughes, Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. Jobs disrupted and innovated his way through movies, computing, music, publishing and telephony, challenging orthodoxies with a philosophy grounded in 60s counterculture.

We wanted to pay our respects to Steve and so, on 27th October, LSx and nti Leeds hosted a special presentation of Pirates of Silicon Valley, chronicling the early rivalry between Microsoft's Bill Gates (Anthony Michael Hall) and Apple's Steve Jobs (Noah Wyle). The screening was followed by a conversation - live from Los Angeles - with the movie's writer and director, Martyn Burke.

A huge thank you to Sally Joynson at Screen Yorkshire, Executive Producer Nick Lombardo, Producer Leanne Moore and Writer & Director Martyn Burke for helping this event come together so quickly.

And thanks to Linda Broughton of nti Leeds, home of the North's largest Apple training centre and perhaps a place that's no more fitting in Leeds to pay our respects to Steve :)
